That is such a tough question ! There were and are so many greats! Rich, Gadd, Smith, Steve Smith, ,wechyl, collouto, morello, Jo Jo Mayer. There are hundreds. What about Hawkins, Grohl, Chambers, Rabb? I don't think anybody can pick one . They are all my favorite and I am learning from them all!

Definetly without doubt, it's got to be Simon Johnson, aka Big Bryn from Aqua Vista. Great Garage Surf drummer. Not your box standard boring old indie rock drummer...

Must admit, Big Bryn was d**n good in his younger days, not so sure now.....but at least he's still alive and i've heard he back playing again....Will be interesting to see him play..

John Bonham was awesome for the beats. Channing with his jazz/rock style, Moon with his madness. All great drummers but not sure if you noticed, but they all made their songs sound so much more complicated than necessary. I like the simpler drummers with the more simpler style, ie, Grohl,(nirvana) Big Bryn(Aqua Vista) just to name a few....

I like most of the drummers that the OP posted but my very favorite, since I'm a huge fan of Elvis Presley's 1970s touring band is Ronnie Tutt - who has been Neil Diamond's drummer since 1980. Sure, he's had more "seat time" behind the drums with Neil, but his work with Elvis cannot be underestimated - especially on songs like, "Always On My Mind (1972); "Fool" (1972); "Steamroller Blues" (1973 live track from Aloha From Hawaii); and a lot of his work from 1970-1973 with Elvis.

I have to say my favorite drummer is the guy from Blink 182! I've love their band since I was very little and still do! Brings back nice childhood memories.
